| The second graders presented a patriotic program on November 12, 2001 at Austin Elementary to honor America's veterans and to share what they have learned about the nation's history, it's founding fathers, and patriotism. Students sang This Land is Your land, You're a Grand Old Flag, Yankee Doodle, and God Bless the U.S.A. The audience joined them in singing America the Beautiful and God Bless America. The show ended with a power point slide show featuring local and national photographs and patriotic music. The program raised $204 for the American Red Cross relief efforts. | |
